Care UK’s approach to dealing with such complex and highly specialised conditions as acquired brain injuries is a sensitive one – focusing on the identified needs and circumstances of each individual. People with chronic illness, such as Parkinson’s disease, motor neurone disease or multiple sclerosis, have their care and social needs attended to by our nurse-led team of registered nurses, GPs, physio-, speech and social therapists.
Care UK provide residential based neuro services within many of our care homes as well as homecare for adults with acquired brain injury living in their own home (click here for further information about our homecare services). We are currently developing our residential based services to provide dedicated neuro rehabilitation centres based on a cluster model of care. The emphasis is on homeliness and space – avoiding any hint of the institutional – and a return to as normal a life as possible, using bespoke personal goals drawn up by specialist staff.
