Partnership Health Group (PHG) is a joint venture between Care UK and Life Healthcare (formerly Afrox Healthcare), one of southern Africa’s leading private hospital operators. PHG was formed in order to bid for the construction and running of new Independent Sector Treatment Centres (ISTCs) at the heart of the Government health reform initiatives.
The first centres are now operational, providing diagnostic investigation and routine orthopaedic surgery for otherwise well patients. At one location an interim solution is running successfully while construction work on the centre is completed: PHG is carrying out surgery in theatres in two hospitals local to the site of the new centre. We have also made significant investment in these two hospitals to update the facilities that PHG is using. Obviously the hospitals themselves benefit from this, underlining the company’s strong relationship with the NHS.
We cannot thank Care UK enough for the care, consideration and attention that you had for our daughter. It has made our lives so much happier knowing that she is with such a caring organisation Parent, Newcastle Learning Disabilities Branch
