Cavell Court

The facilities at Cavell Court rival top five-star hotels

Cavell Court is situated in the village of Cringleford, which is on the banks of the River Yare.

Dating back to the Bronze Age, Cringleford village has a great community atmosphere and is situated in picturesque Norfolk countryside. It’s also located close to the beautiful city of Norwich, which has an array of independent and high street stores, museums and entertainment.

Linking to the local surroundings

We’re always keen to reflect the area in which our care homes are located, therefore our lounges, dining rooms and coffee shop are named after local landmarks and historical figures.

We strongly believe this creates a sense of place and photographs showing local scenes help residents who have lived in the area recall memories, people and places from the past.

Comfortable living in modern, well-equipped surroundings

Cavell Court is built over three floors and is divided into smaller ‘home within a home’ areas.

Each area has its own comfortable lounge, bistro-style dining room and en-suite bedrooms. We have found that this design is well suited to residents with dementia, because they generally do not like open spaces and feel happier in a less busy environment.

The home has a reminiscence room, retro-themed lounge and a coffee shop where residents can enjoy a cup of coffee while they chat with friends or family members. Residents can also see the latest films in the fully-equipped cinema – complete with cinema-style seats. We want residents to be pampered, so we also have a hair and beauty salon, which offers a range of treatments.

The gardens at Cavell Court feature a sensory garden, which is well stocked with a range of shrubs, flowers and trees. Our outside space is fully accessible to wheelchair users and has plenty of seating areas. It’s a perfect place to sit and relax on a warm, sunny day. Residents who enjoy gardening are encouraged to get involved with the garden and help out with a spot of light weeding or pruning.

When the weather is not so good, residents can sit and enjoy the natural light and warmth of our ground floor garden room.
