Cavell Court

Retaining independence and keeping active through Activity Based Care.

Care UK is committed to delivering Activity Based Care across all its care homes. It’s a simple philosophy that promotes keeping active and maintaining independence through activities or simply continuing with everyday routines.

As easy as ABC – Activity Based Care

Our team of activity coordinators at Cavell Court plan, organise and run individual and group activities for residents, which are based on their interests and hobbies.

There’s no limit to what the activities include, from baking, gardening, quizzes and games, to watching local performers, chatting with visiting school children or joining in with some gentle exercise.

Staying fit and healthy

Our main focus at Cavell Court is to keep residents happy and healthy. Our location gives us access to a range of health centres and GP surgeries, and the team at Cavell Court has built links with healthcare providers within the community. These providers make regular visits to the home and residents have access to physiotherapists, opticians, dentists and audiologists.

Home cooked and delicious food

Delicious, home cooked food prepared using fresh ingredients is a key part of life in our care home. Our onsite chefs cater for all tastes, diets and cultural requirements, and you can expect plenty of choice. We all look forward to special occasions, so we plan themed menus and treats to celebrate annual events like Easter and Christmas. We’re always keen to share in residents’ own personal celebrations, so we also cater for birthdays and anniversaries that can be enjoyed with families and loved ones.
