Welcome to Francis Court

Francis Court care home is not taking any new admissions.

We are in the process of helping to secure alternative accommodation for current Francis Court residents so that structural improvements can be made to the building. These improvements would ensure that we can continue to build on, and improve, our care offering to the Copthorne community.

We anticipate that necessary work will not begin until at least 2024 and we currently do not have a timeframe for when Francis Court will reopen.

What makes this job for me is spending time with residents and seeing them happy and enjoying life. When residents are enjoying the activities there’s a real buzz about the place.

We are working very hard to ensure that the service we provide is of the highest quality. We are aware that CQC have highlighted we need to make improvements to our service, we have a comprehensive service improvement plan in place to ensure we are acting to make changes that will be sustained and embedded. There are a couple of member of staff who always go above and beyond. One particular member always finds the time to talk to her. They have ways they know the individual and they know what works.

Although he can't speak very well, he's learnt and remembered the staff names. The staff have a very good rapport with him. They listen to him and care about him. They get along with him and understand his problems. They keep him cheerful, and they always leave his bedroom door open, so he doesn't feel isolated. They always pop their heads through the door to check on him.
