Tracy Norbury, home manager
I joined Care UK in 2004: I started working here part-time as a domestic when I was doing my A levels. My sister worked here at the time and recommended Hollins Park. I then moved into a care worker role before doing my nurse training. And here I am today as home manager. I’ve learnt a lot along the way, and I continue to learn.
I love walking through Hollins Park at the beginning of the day, seeing colleagues and having a chat, and getting the day off to a good start. I enjoy catching up with residents during the day, talking to them and finding out what they’ve been up to.
In 2017 I won Best Nurse Specialist/Dementia Lead at the National Dementia Care Awards. It was an honour to win, especially as I’d won the Good Nurse category at the North West finals of the Great British Care Awards a few weeks earlier!
I’m looking forward to making the home my own and adding my own touches. We’re focused on maintaining our high standards and exceeding residents’ and relatives’ expectations.
