Cavell Court residents invited to find out more about planning future care

Home news

Cavell Court is inviting the local community to a free event designed to provide support for people considering their loved one’s future care.

On Wednesday 26th April, from 2pm-4pm, the team will open the doors to the care home on Dragonfly Lane for its free ‘Planning care for the future’ event.

Maggie Martin, an expert in care planning from In the End…Care, will be on hand to offer professional advice and guidance on how to prepare for a loved one’s future care, including tips about where to start, what to consider, and planning the next step.

Maggie will also discuss the importance of discussing your loved one’s personal preferences relating to their care, as well as guidance on how to record these preferences for health care professionals.

After the event there will be a Q&A session, and those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Cavell Court and take a tour of the care home.

Samantha Woods, customer relations manager, at Cavell Court said: “With an ageing population, it is more important than ever to prepare for future care, so we hope all those considering the future care of a loved one will take the opportunity to benefit from the expertise provided in this free session.

“We are delighted to have Maggie joining us for the event. As a trusted professional with a wealth of experience in care planning, we are sure Maggie will help to transform the experiences of many who are thinking about putting plans in place for the future.”
