Community fun at Silversprings care home summer fair

Silversprings care home, in Thorrington, recently opened its doors to the local community for its annual fair and barbecue.

The Care UK team at Silversprings on Tenpenny Hill invited visitors to share in the fun-filled summer celebrations. 

Live entertainment from Tanglewood, got everyone in the party spirit, with classic songs from the 1950s and 60s.  

The fair also included stalls selling handmade crafts, books, toys, plants and bric-a-brac, and visitors could try their luck on the raffle and tombola. There was also a tempting barbecue and younger visitors were kept entertained with a bouncy castle and face painting.  

Maggie Ziemianska, home manager at Silversprings, said: “We all had a fantastic time at this year’s summer fair, and it was a great opportunity for us to bring the local community together for a day of family-friendly fun and games. 

“Here at Silversprings, it is important for us to build strong relationships with the people of Thorrington and the surrounding areas, and we are thrilled to have seen so many people from the local area join us for our summer party.”
