Residents at Highmarket House were joined by students from St Mary’s Church of England School for a Christmas party to spread festive cheer at the care home.
The local school children exchanged Christmas memories and traditions with residents and presented the team with a seasonal poinsettia to display in the Highmarket House café.
Julia Hedley, home manager at Highmarket House, said: “We’re all looking forward to celebrating Christmas here at Highmarket House, and were delighted to be joined by children from St Mary’s Church of England School for an afternoon reminiscing about Christmas traditions across the years.
“Here at Highmarket House we strive to build relationships across the generations. Not only does it allow older people to impart wisdom and share experiences with the younger generation, but it also helps to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of the residents.”
