Hartismere Place celebrates regional award win

Home news

Hartismere Place care home is celebrating after scooping two awards at Care UK’s annual Suffolk Awards, a regional event to celebrate excellence.

The Suffolk Awards recognise the individual achievements of Care UK colleagues, with winners announced in 17 categories across 11 homes, including ‘Best Dining Experience’ and ‘Great Dementia Care’.

Senior representatives from Care UK formed the judging panel at the ceremony, which was held at Mills Meadow in Framlingham. They commended the hard work of team members across the region, and presented winners and finalists with prizes and certificates.

Hartismere Place scored two wins: ‘Nurse of Year’ for Sarah Stringer and ‘Customer Relations Manager of the Year’ for Angela Hodge.

Phillip Steyn, regional director at Care UK said: “This is the second year we have held the Suffolk Awards, and it has been great to bring the teams together yet again to celebrate our region.

“Competition was really high across all the categories, with many team members going the extra mile to help meet the needs of residents and their families. It was fantastic to be able to recognise the achievements of those working in our Suffolk care homes and reward them for all of their hard work.”

Angela Hodge, customer relations manager at Hartismere Place – and one of the event’s winners, said: “Everyone works so hard to deliver the best possible care to older people in the region, so it was wonderful to be recognised for our efforts.

“I am personally delighted to have won an award, and am thrilled Sarah has been recognised for her hard work too – we look forward to celebrating the wins with the rest of the team here at Hartismere Place!”
