Hats off to Cedrus House for a fun tea party

Home news

Residents at Cedrus House stepped through the looking glass for a week of Alice in Wonderland fun.

Residents, family and friends donned hats and costumes for a week-long celebration of the Lewis Carroll classic, which ended with a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

The care home was decorated with paper chains, bunting and crêpe flowers, which residents and members of the Cedrus House day club had made, and guests enjoyed Alice in Wonderland cupcakes at the traditional tea party.

Cedrus House home manager, Michelle Webster, said: “We had such a fun week creating our own wonderland here in Stowmarket. Everyone got involved in one way another, from residents who made the lovely decorations, to the care team who dressed up as their favourite characters.

“Here at Cedrus House, it is important to keep our residents stimulated with fun activities and events, and involve our day club members whenever we can. We’re already planning lots more fun activities for the coming months!”
