Leadership team takes the helm at Mountbatten Grange

Home news

Mountbatten Grange has appointed several highly qualified individuals to make up its senior team.

Home manager Saad Baig will lead the team at Mountbatten Grange, having previously worked as a home manager for Care UK for two years.

Saad has a range of care qualifications, including NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, as well as a BTEC level 3 in End of Life Care. He previously worked as a home manager at Care UK’s Whitby Dene and The Burroughs, and will now be responsible for the day-to-day running of Mountbatten Grange.

Saad is well known within the Care UK team for his strong work ethic, and his belief that anything is possible. As home manager at Whitby Dene, he travelled to Vatican in Rome with Father George, a resident and former priest, who wished to meet the Pope. He assisted Father George to a Papal Audience where he received a blessing from Pope Francis. Saad also surprised another resident who had a passion for flying with a flying lesson for her 96th birthday.

Commenting on his new position, Saad said: “I am delighted to be taking the reins at Windsor, and I am excited to lead a skilled and passionate team here.

“I believe that in order to be a successful home manager you need to be passionate and driven to deliver the highest quality of care.I’ve been working as a home manager for Care UK for two years now and I share the same values as the company, so I’m thrilled to be starting a new chapter here in Windsor. More than anything, I’m looking forward to putting smiles on the residents’ faces, knowing they are having a joyful time at a happy home.”

Saad will have the support of Danielle Plant, who will take on the role of customer relations manager at the home. Danielle has previously worked within the health sector before joining Care UK in 2013. She enjoys spending time with residents and is committed to enabling them to create new memories by organising fun events, including a Christmas fayre and party for the royal wedding.

Speaking about her role, Danielle said: “I previously worked at Care UK’s Larkland House, in Ascot, so I am delighted to have the opportunity to be a part of a new Care UK team here in Windsor. Most of all, I am looking forward to meeting new families and residents and making them feel at home. I am excited to take on this new role here at Mountbatten Grange, and to welcoming residents through the doors.”
