New manager to take the helm of Chandler Court

Home news

Chandler Court has announced the appointment of a home manager ahead of the home’s opening early next year.

With over 30 years working in a number of roles across the care sector – and more than half of this time being dedicated to the management of care homes – Jo Gill will lead the team Chandler Court on Recreation Road.

Having previously managed Brook Court care home in Kidderminster, Jo has a variety of relevant qualifications and prides herself on her caring and compassionate nature, and being a good listener. Her new position will see her take responsibility for the day-to-day running of Chandler Court, which will accommodate up to 81 residents.

During her career, Jo has focused her approach to management on training, motivating and mentoring team members to feel empowered and supported in their roles, to ensure the best possible care is provided by all.

Commenting on her new position, Jo said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as the home manager at Chandler Court, and am excited to lead a skilled and passionate team when we open the doors early next year.

“I believe that in order to be a successful home manager you need to be an excellent communicator, respectful, kind, and always willing to learn. I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter here in Bromsgrove, delivering the highest quality of care possible. More than anything, I’m looking forward to putting smiles on the residents’ faces, knowing they are having a joyful time at a happy home.”

Chandler Court has also welcomed the arrival of customer relations manager, Mawson Chipchase – commonly known as Chip - who has worked in the care sector for 15 years, including a number of years at Care UK’s Prior’s House in Leamington Spa.

Chip’s early career was focused around entertainment which helped in his transition into his role as an events and activities coordinator at a care home, a position he held for more than a decade.

Speaking about his new position, Chip said: “My previous role involved organising events and activities, and I am looking forward to continuing this with residents at Chandler Court. Most of all however, I am looking forward to meeting new families and residents and making them feel at home. I am excited to be joining a new team here in Bromsgrove and to welcoming residents through the doors in the near future.”
