Sherwood Grange celebrate Olympic spirit

Home news

To celebrate Great Britain’s success at this year’s Olympics, residents at Sherwood Grange care home on Robin Hood Lane took part in a number of sporting activities along with the Care UK team and family and friends.

Throughout the day, the three teams all took part in a series of challenges including apple bobbing, relay races, shot-put, team quizzes and a ‘match the flag to the country’ time-trial, to see who would win the gold medal.

Sherwood Grange home manager, Rick Mayne, said “We were delighted to see so many relatives join us to take part in our very own Olympic games. All of the teams did an excellent job and it was an extremely close call, but in the end Team Forrest were the very deserving victors.”
