Team behind £5 million Millers Grange celebrates ‘topping out’

A £5 million Witney care home has marked its latest construction milestone with a ‘topping out’ ceremony.

The team at Millers Grange were joined by developer and construction partner, Lawrence Baker, and guest of honour, Deputy Mayor Councillor Howard Chirgwin.

The project is on track to create more than 80 jobs when the care home is fully commissioned, and will welcome its first residents early next spring.

Steve Reader, home manager at Millers Grange, said: “As the latest addition to a growing portfolio of residential care homes, Millers Grange represents a major investment for Care UK. When complete, the purpose-built care home will boost the provision of quality residential care for up to 52 people, as well as creating jobs for the local community.

“I am delighted to have been part of this milestone as we step ever-closer to opening the doors to older people in Witney. I am thrilled that Deputy Mayor Councillor Howard Chirgwin was able to join us for the occasion, and I look forward to welcoming him back to see the home once complete.”

This project will deliver beautifully-designed individual accommodation for residents, complemented by high-quality communal facilities, and we’re all excited to see the impressive building beginning to take shape.”
