Time for tea at The Potteries

Home news

Residents at The Potteries were joined by the local community when they took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Potteries opened the doors to welcome local people for a morning filled with tasty treats.

The team at The Potteries had been busy whipping up their best cakes, which were available for everyone to enjoy for a small donation to Macmillan. With plenty of coffee and treats to hand, residents and guests enjoyed a relaxing morning full of catch-ups and chatting – while helping to raise money for a good cause.

Zita Turner, home manager at The Potteries, commented: “We want to say a big thank you to the local people of Poole who came along to the coffee morning and helped us raise £34.50 for Macmillan Cancer Support – a charity close to the hearts of many here at The Potteries.

“We are always looking for opportunities to welcome the local community to the home, and the coffee morning proved to be a great success. The residents all had a fantastic time and we look forward to welcoming everyone back next year.”
