Residents at Foxbridge House celebrated all things cockney with the help of some special guests.

Foxbridge House opened the doors to the care home on Sevenoaks Road for a cockney performance by cockney entertainer, Mickie Driver, who donned his pearly king costume to perform some top East End hits.

As well as enjoying the entertainment, residents were tempted with a delicious selection of traditional cockney seafood throughout the afternoon. Residents then danced the night away along to cockney duo Chas & Dave’s biggest hits.

Home manager at Foxbridge House, Carol McCormack, said: “We were thrilled to welcome Mickie Driver to the home for what was a memorable afternoon at Foxbridge House. The cockney performance was a big hit with the residents, and for many of those living with dementia it proved to be an effective reminiscence activity.”
