Discover our new homes in Suffolk

Since 2013 Care UK has been working with Suffolk County Council to fulfil its vision for older people’s care in the county.

Since then we’ve invested £60 million in ten new care homes and day care centres, to bring much needed extra nursing and specialist dementia care to the people of Suffolk. Most of our stunning new homes and day care centres – what we call day clubs – are already up and running, and all of them will be by early 2016.

Great care, impressive facilities

Each of our new care homes in Suffolk provides a wide range of quality 24-hour care, from residential and nursing care to short term respite care and specialist care for people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

They also provide an impressive level of comfort, with en-suite bedrooms and bistro-style dining areas. What’s more, each home has its own cinema, hair salon and coffee shop as well as lovely secure landscaped gardens.

Quality day care

Adjacent to each of our new Suffolk care homes is a day care centre – what we’re calling a day club. These are designed to give older people who are still living in their own homes a place in their local community where they can enjoy a change of scene, a chance to meet new people and to enjoy doing varied activities.

While they’re with us their family carers have much-needed time to themselves, knowing that their loved one is in the safest hands. All our day care centre teams are experienced carers able to care for older people who are living with dementia.

Everything about our Stowmarket care home is designed to support the health, comfort and wellbeing of residents. Our 80-bed care home specialises in supporting people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Keeping active is the key to staying independent, so we support residents to take part in a range of activities and even have their own small role in the home if that appeals to them – like laying the table for dinner.
