The Potteries care home delivers a wide range of high quality care, tailored to your loved one’s needs and preferences.

Our lovely, purpose-built care home is in the suburb of Broadstone, just a few miles from the centre of the seaside town of Poole. We’re all about providing the best care in luxury surroundings. Our coffee shop is the hub of the home, where tea, coffee and cake are always flowing. There’s a cinema with regular showings of residents’ favourite films, plus a hair and beauty salon providing pamper sessions.

Uniquely tailored care

We believe that the best care is tailored care. When a new resident joins us, we work with them and their family to learn all about their life history, likes and dislikes. Then we put together care and lifestyle plans that are tailored to their unique needs and interests.

A good care home offers more than great care – it should be dedicated to supporting residents to have enjoyable activities and meaningful experiences every day. Some residents find meaning and purpose from helping around the home, folding laundry, laying the tables for lunch, or helping out in the garden. Others like to take part in the varied group and one-to-one activities that our lifestyle team organises.

We also understand the importance of a change of scene and getting some fresh air, so we regularly get out and about – whether it’s to the shops, a local attraction, or to a local pub for lunch. Take a look at a typical weekly activities schedule at The Potteries. You can also ‘like’ our Facebook page to keep up-to-date with goings-on in our Poole care home.

Support for you and your loved one

Choosing the right care home for a loved one can be one of the hardest tasks any family has to do. We’ve helped many families through the process, will support you with any advice you need, and go at your pace. We pride ourselves on making everything as seamless as possible so that your loved one maintains their independence and dignity at all times.

Remember, we run regular free information sessions on different aspects of caring for an older loved one. Please feel free to come along. It’s a chance to meet our team and learn more about The Potteries.

You can take a virtual tour around the home now. By far the best way to find out if The Potteries is the right home for your loved one is to come along for a tour of the home. Our friendly customer relations manager will show you around and answer your questions about your loved one’s care.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Potteries care home in Poole.
