Self pay options

  • Self pay options

Funding your own care can open up a greater range of choice in terms of the treatment, care and support you receive.

While we work closely with the NHS and our public sector partners to provide treatment, care and support options which are free and accessible to all, we also offer a range of services for those who are able to fund their own care. If you would like to find out more about these services, please contact us on 0333 321 8305 and our team will be happy to help.

Care homes

With changes to the way social care entitlements are calculated, we know that many individuals may not qualify for government support when looking for a care home. All of our homes welcome residents who choose to either fund their own care or top up their government entitlements to ensure they have the very best care and support.

We have also recently built a number of new care homes to provide an alternative for older people in search of premium care. Our new homes offer fresh, modern and elegant environments and – like all of our homes – are full of passionate, exceptional people.

We currently have availability at five newly built homes:

  • Heather View in Crowborough is designed around a pioneering internal village design and was awarded the Best Interior Design Award at the National Dementia Awards in 2011.

  • Colne View in Halstead offers specialist nursing and dementia care and a vibrant day care club.

  • Mill View in East Grinstead offers the highest standards of residential and nursing care and facilities including an activity room, lounge as well as an internal layout designed to mimic a typical Surrey village green.

  • Francis Court in Copthorne is opening in August this year and is set in beautiful landscaped gardens featuring a patio, fish pond and raised flower beds.

  • Silversprings in Thorrington is set within spacious, rural, surrounds which include sensory gardens, nature walks and wildlife including doves, ducks, chickens and fish.

We also have a range of exciting new homes coming soon. Each one will provide nursing, residential and dementia care and include state of the art services designed to give residents the best quality of life possible.

Support at home

Our Homecare Select service has been developed to provide our customers with additional choice when they are looking for support at home. The service is based around a series of easy to understand support bundles which enable customers to either top up their government funded support, or to create a completely bespoke support package from scratch. These bundles are designed not just to provide the essential daily care that many of our customers need, but also to provide the support they need to pursue interests and social engagements and to live more fulfilling lives.

Our Homecare select bundles include:

  • Weekly shop (2 hours) - we can help with ideas for a weekly menu and then accompany customers to the local supermarket, carrying shopping bags and unpacking groceries back home. We can also assist with online orders for home delivery.

  • Sunday special (3 hours) - we can provide companionship and support in preparing a Sunday roast, including laying the table and preparing the home for the arrival of family and friends.

  • Mini leisure outing (2 hours) – we often accompany our customers on local outings, providing additional confidence on trips to the shops, the hairdresser or beautician, place of worship or a favourite café or restaurant. This might also include purely social outings such as a stroll in the park a night at the bingo, bowls club or other favourite pastime.

Eating disorders treatment and care

We currently offer self-funded treatment and care for people with complex or long term eating disorders. These options enable those living with eating disorders, and their families, to access our services directly without the need for a GP referral.

Our eating disorders teams understand the complexity of a range of conditions including anorexia nervosa and bulimia and will take positive risks with treatment plans designed to address a range of physical, psychological and social factors according to the specific needs of each individual.

Self-funded treatment plans are available at all three of our eating disorder units:

  • Rhodes Farm - an independent hospital for the treatment of acute eating disorders in children aged 6 to 19

  • Althea Park House - a residential service for young people aged 15-23 with severe and enduring eating disorders

  • Ashleigh House - an intensive residential service for adults living with long term eating disorders

For further information, please visit our dedicated eating disorders website.

Healthcare

We also provide self pay options for people who want to pay for one-off healthcare treatments. This enables our patients to enjoy the benefits of private healthcare without having to pay full private insurance – instead they pay only for the services they need, when they need them. This approach enables patients to bypass NHS waiting lists and get fast and convenient diagnosis and treatment.

We currently offer self pay services in three of our treatment centres: at Eccleshill in Bradford, at the Will Adams Treatment Centre in Gillingham and at our Southampton Treatment Centre. Our self pay procedures include:

  • Inguinal hernia repair

  • Minor skin procedures

  • Cataract

  • Vasectomy

  • Circumcision

  • Carpal tunnel

  • Knee arthroscopy

  • Ganglion cyst

  • MRI

  • Blepharoplasty
