Our homecare service quality

Whether you are looking to organise a homecare package for yourself or for somebody you care about, Care UK has a long and successful track record of delivering a high standard of domiciliary care. We work with our customers to ensure that the planning and delivering of homecare, treatment and support are discussed and that people are safe, their welfare is protected and their needs are met. 

At Care UK we ensure that our customers' values and diversity are taken into consideration and can reasonably adjust our service to meet those needs.

We will discuss with you the care, treatment and support choices available so that, as our customer, you will be involved in making the decisions about the care required. You can be assured that your privacy, dignity and independence are respected.

Quality plays a key role in the achievement of excellence throughout our services. Directed by the head of quality audit and compliance, your homecare team consists of a number of quality managers . They work in partnership with our regulators to achieve consistently high standards of homecare service delivery and operational excellence. We listen to your views and experiences and take these on board to ensure the service we deliver is of the highest standard.

As a minimum we ensure that:

  • Each of our service users receives an annual satisfaction questionnaire by post; this is collated nationally and used to further improve our homecare service quality.
  • Regular telephone calls from our quality managers ensure that our service delivery is meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Each service user receives regular home visits by the branch manager.
  • A detailed annual branch audit, conducted by the regional quality manager, ensures Care UK's regulatory requirements are met.

Care UK has a rigorous recruitment process to ensure that our staff are honest, reliable and trustworthy. We only employ staff who treat with respect the people who use our services.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates, inspects and reviews all adult social care services in England. In 2010 the CQC rated Care UK above every other independent provider of similar size.
