Supported living
At Care UK we have lots of experience in providing person centred support and believe that quality of life is as important as the care that we deliver. Our supported living homecare services enable our service users to lead fulfilling lives in their own homes with independence, choice and control over their daily activities.
Our supported living services are aimed at people with varying degrees of learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex needs. As with all our care team, our support workers are vetted and trained to a high standard and have regular checks with the Criminal Records Bureau.
Our services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and a care and support package can include night sitting. All of our services are flexible and can be tailored to meet your individual needs.
Social support
We support our service users to keep up the activities that they enjoy doing. Some current examples include:
- Attending church and cultural events
- Playing golf
- Swimming
- Going to the pub
- Dancing
- Eating out
- Visiting family and friends
- Going on holiday in the UK or abroad

Financial management
Our carers and support workers are trained to support our service users to budget their finances, pay their bills, open bank accounts and save money. Many people wish for us to act as their advocate so that we can help address issues that may arise with benefits. All of our staff are trained in safeguarding adults and the Mental Capacity Act.

Shopping
Our support workers can help you to create an appropriate shopping list and then help you to go to the local supermarket or high street.

Personal assistance
Our fully vetted and trained carers can assist with all aspects of:
- Washing
- Bathing
- Showering
- Toileting
- Dressing
- Meal preparation
- Cooking
- Supporting to eat

Home maintenance
We can support our service users to report to their landlord any repairs that may be needed at home, or we can help them to find builders, plumbers, electricians or decorators as required.
