Care UK CATS services 

Care provider Care UK has been contracted by the NHS to provide extensive Clinical Assessment & Treatment Services (CATS) at treatment centres in a number of areas across the UK.

This partnership provides local access to a complete range of services, which is helping to reduce waiting times and maximise patient convenience.

As a patient you can chose to be treated at one of our CATS units. When you next visit your GP with a health complaint that needs further treatment or therapy, they will discuss the various options available to you and through the NHS Choose & Book system you and your GP can make an appointment at a time and date convenient to you.

Our current Clinical Assessment & Treatment Services include:

Ophthalmology CATS
An ophthalmic service covering cysts, papillions, electrolysis, sac wash and entropian, for patients in the Rochdale area.

Broad Street CATS
Is a multi-discipline service covering gynaecology, dermatology, neurology, ENT and urology, for patients located in Barking & Dagenham (London).

Greater Manchester
Includes two five unit multi-discipline mobile clinical units + MRI or CT unit.  Each unit has 5 consulting rooms with dedicated gynaecology and ENT rooms, plus an integrated x-ray and ultrasound area and a multifunctional therapy / treatment area.  There is also a separate mobile endoscopy unit.  Each unit is completely self supported and visits seven sites across Greater Manchester every year. 

Care services available at Manchester NHS CATS treatment centres include MRI, CT scans, x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, gynaecology, ENT, MSK, urology, audiology, orthopaedic, general surgery and general therapies such as physiotherapy.
