Care UK and ultrasound, x-ray and DEXA scanning
Care UK has recently acquired the company SMI Ltd (Specialist Medical Imaging). This will enable Care UK to offer ultrasound, X-ray and bone density DEXA scanning in a range of settings for NHS and other healthcare commissioners.
SMI already has many contracts to provide PCTs with scanning services in areas such as Essex and Greater Manchester as well as contracts with acute trusts and other private health companies. These will continue.
Our expertise in primary and secondary care services, plus the experience of the SMI team, means that we are well-placed to help you devise solutions to your medical scanning requirements.
We can offer you:
- small scale portable services which can move from site to site, offering diagnostic clinics in community settings such as GP surgeries
- a full in-sourced radiology unit for a hospital
- a clinical assessment and treatment service for your region or consortium
