Field Lodge

Welcome to Field Lodge

Every aspect of our Cambridgeshire home incorporates design touches that help people living with dementia to feel at home and to find their way around independently.

Our home has also been shaped by the interests of residents, there's a tuck shop, cinema, hair and beauty salon, as well as a spacious café. We also have themed areas for residents to explore, including an indoor garden area, music room and a magic table for residents living with dementia.

Every bedroom is individually decorated and has its own en-suite wet room. Some of the ground floor rooms open directly onto our lovely, secure gardens. Field Lodge is set within the location of St Ives, we are just a short drive from Huntingdon, Godmanchester and Cambridge.

We are proud to have been internally accredited with the evidence-based, person-centered Care Fit for VIPS.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

The activities programme is packed with activities, including everything from exercise classes to arts and crafts, film afternoons, and parties. Here are just some of the comments we’ve received from family, friends and residents at Field Lodge care home.

The residents attend a food forum every month with the head chef… they discuss the menu and decide as a group what will be on the menu for the next month. It's such a great idea, and there is always an alternative menu in case someone doesn’t like the options on any particular day. Home-cooked food, all made with fresh ingredients, fresh that day... it's wonderful!

Our loved one is safe there, and her safety was our primary concern when she was living alone at home. She receives excellent care and her preferences are taken into account regarding all aspects of life in the home. They respect her... the carers treat all the residents as if they are part of their own family. We attend regular meetings for families of residents with dementia and we are made to feel an integral part of the home.

I visit my loved one every day and the carers know her very well... everyone is very kind to her. They have made her as comfortable as she can possibly be at this stage of her life. The management also takes an interest in us... they listen to me when I have something to say, they respect my opinion and they act upon my comments. It's very reassuring to know that my loved one and I are respected by the home.
