Care UK has been operating out-of-hours rapid response services for over four years. The aim of the rapid response service is to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and ease pressure points during the year such as winter bed blocking by enabling individuals to be cared for at home instead of being admitted to hospital.
We provide a team of specially trained care workers who are strategically placed around the county. The care workers are on standby and will respond to the individual within an hour of call out to provide out-of-hours emergency care to individuals in their own home. Referrals are placed by A&E departments, out-of-hours GPs, district nursing services, NHS Direct and walk-in centres and the Social Services Emergency Duty Team.
