Andrew Knight, CEO

Andrew joined Care UK in 2014 and has led one of the most ambitious development programmes in the sector having opened 54 new care homes with a further 12 sites in planning and construction. In addition to new build development Care UK also completed on a long-term partnership agreement in 2021 to operate 26 former Sunrise and Gracewell homes within the Care UK portfolio. Care UK is committed to the continuous development of care quality and has achieved some of the highest regulatory ratings in the sector, including 17 homes rated as CQC ‘Outstanding’. Prior to joining Care UK, Andrew has spent more than 30 years in senior leadership positions working for Weight Watchers UK, Punch Taverns, Spirit Group, and Allied Domecq.

Matt Rosenberg, CFO

Joined Care UK in May 2014. Qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC. Held senior financial roles at hospitality companies, including QMH Group, Westmont Hospitality Group and Whitbread.

Martin Friend, COO

More than twenty years’ experience in the health, leisure, and retail sectors. Spent career doing what we do here at Care UK - looking after people.

Rachel Harvey, Care, Quality and Governance Director

Has worked at Care UK since 2013. A qualified nurse with over 30 years’ experience in care services.

Jacqui White, Director of Marketing and Communications

With Care UK since 2011. Has held senior roles in marketing, digital and PR in sectors including consumer technology, publishing and drinks.

Leah Queripel, Human Resources Director

Worked in HR for more than 15 years. Broad range of HR experience including FTSE 100, private equity, hospitality, leisure and healthcare businesses. Priorities include leadership programme, talent and succession development and providing a learning and development environment for all employees.

Richard Pearman, Business Development Director

With Care UK since 1997. Has worked in a range of business development roles, leading the team since 2003.

Tony Weedon, Strategic Development Director

35 years’ experience in hospitality and the care sector. Joined Care UK in 1991. Responsible for strategic planning, programme management and major projects. Previous roles include hotel services, facilities management, project management and operations.

Chris Hopkinson, Operations Director (south)

With Care UK since September 2012. Spent 18 years in retail sector before moving into elderly care.

Karen Seabrook, Operations Director (central)

Joined Care UK in 2002 as a home manager, then worked with the team responsible for bids and new home planning, building and commissioning.

Julia Bentley, Operations Director (north and Scotland)

Joined Care UK in 2022 after 30 years in the care sector, starting as a care assistant working nights.

Phillip Steyn, Operations Director (midlands and east)

Started with Care UK as a team leader before progressing to Home Manager and Regional Director.
