Care UK is pleased to announce the acquisition of Whitwood Care, a highly successful operator of three care homes in West Yorkshire. Whitwood House, Whitwood Hall and Whitwood Grange offer purpose built residential facilities providing specialist care and support for 48 people with learning disabilities, including those on the Autistic Spectrum.
The 140 employees who joined Care UK from Whitwood Care provide highly skilled personalised support aimed at positively managing behaviours which challenge promoting independence and integration within the local community. This expansion of Care UK’s community services portfolio fits well with its existing services for people with learning disabilities across the range of outreach, care at home, respite live in care, supported living and residential homes.
Libby Eastley, Business Development Director for Community Services at Care UK, said: “Care UK is a leading provider of social care and support with over 30 years of experience in delivering residential care and care and support to people in their own homes. We are really pleased to welcome the Whitwood Care team into our community services division.
“The three homes from Whitwood Care are a natural fit with the rest of our services for people with learning disabilities. We are busy getting to know the people who live in the homes and the teams that support them.”
