Care UK trains home managers of the future - Wednesday 25 August 2010
Care UK, the UK’s leading independent provider of health and social care, has just celebrated the completion of its first ‘Managers of the Future’ training scheme which saw 18 deputy managers and supervisory managers trained for positions in more senior management in the company’s 59 residential homes.
New Health Centre opens at Clapham Junction - Friday 26 March 2010
The Junction Health Centre, a new state of the art NHS Walk-in Centre and GP Practice is to open in Battersea on Tuesday 30 March 2010. Local people are invited to an Open Day this Saturday, 27 March from 10am to 3pm, to view the new health centre, meet the healthcare team and pre-register with the GP service before the centre opens. The Junction Health Centre is situated in the Sendall Court Car Park, Grant Road, right next door to the exit of Clapham Junction Station.
Care UK shortlisted for a new contract in Cambridgeshire. - Tuesday 12 January 2010
Care UK is one of just six organisations which have been shortlisted in the bid to help run Hinchingbrooke Health Care NHS Trust in Cambridgeshire.
Care UK welcomes Civitas report Markets in healthcare - Friday 18 December 2009
Martin Kirkup of Care UK, the largest independent provider of healthcare to the NHS, said: “Civitas are absolutely right to warn of the dangers of pulling back from reform. In tough economic times increased efficiencies and value for money are vital to keep the NHS improving and meeting public expectations. In recent years the introduction of competition has done exactly that while giving patients much needed choice and also helping the NHS to dramatically cut waiting times. I believe that the Government should be looking to accelerate this activity.”
Care UK responds to Unite petition - Wednesday 26 August 2009
Responding to the Unite petition to Andy Burnham calling for a “rolling back of privatization”, Mike Parish, CEO of Care UK, the largest provider of healthcare services to the NHS, said:
