A personal approach
We take a person-centred approach to learning disabilities support. We work with each service user, their families and their supporters, to develop and deliver an individualised plan of support which takes into account each person’s needs, personality and aspirations. We encourage our service users to do as much as they can for themselves, encouraging them to develop the confidence and life skills to live as independently as possible.
Some of the people we support have a range of needs such as challenging behaviour, autistic spectrum disorders, complex health needs or sensory impairment. Our teams have experience and understanding of the complex nature of these conditions, allowing them to develop support plans that can make a real difference to our customer’s lives.
Support when and where it is needed
Depending on the level of support required, we may deliver services in the home, in supported living accommodation or in a residential home. In all settings, our aim is the same – to support our customers move toward more independent and fulfilling lives.
Our approach is focused on delivering as much or as little support as required – ranging from a few hours a week to support access to the local community to 24 hour care for those in particularly challenging situations.
We also provide supported living accommodation in self-contained flats which come with the added reassurance of 24 hour on call support when required. For those who require more intensive support, we can provide full residential care in a range of settings around the country.
