Mike Parish

Chief executive

Mike was appointed chief executive of Care UK in 2001 following a successful career with Exel PLC, then a FTSE 100 supply chain solutions provider. During his time here, Mike has overseen one of the most exciting times in the company’s history. Care UK has grown to become one of the leading independent providers of health and social care services in the country.

Mike joined Exel’s forerunner, NFC (National Freight Consortium), as a graduate management trainee in 1982, just as it was being de-nationalised. During his career with Exel, he worked in a range of industry sectors and was responsible for activities across Europe, the Americas and Africa, culminating in a PLC director role.

Mike has previously chaired the NHS Partners Network, the representative body for organisations supplying healthcare services to the NHS, and is a non-executive director and a trustee of the NHS Confederation.

Paul Humphreys

Group finance director

Paul was appointed finance director of Care UK in 2002. He is a qualified chartered accountant and has an excellent track record with major international companies.

Before joining us he spent 10 years as group finance director at McLeod Russel Holdings PLC. He also had spells at Leeda Group, a subsidiary of Porter Chadburn PLC, and held numerous positions at Bluebird Toys including a time as managing director of Bluebird UK Division.

Belinda Moore

Group marketing director

Belinda joined Care UK in October 2011, from General Healthcare Group, where she was group sales & marketing director. She has a strong background in sales and marketing with senior roles in a number of blue chip organisations such as Whitbread PLC, Thomson Travel Group, The Gillette Company and International Distillers & Vintners. She also spent six years in pharmaceutical sales and marketing for the Wellcome Foundation and has worked extensively in Eastern Europe and Turkey setting up brand new sales and marketing structures.

Belinda has a keen interest in international affairs and holds an Honours Degree in Russian.

Karen McCormick

Group HR director

Karen has previously held important HR and business leadership roles with some household names. Most recently, Karen has been vice president european human resources for Kellogg’s and prior to that she was chief executive of the Cheshire Building Society. Other notable past roles include that of people performance director for J Sainsbury and human resources director for Great Universal Stores.

Toby Siddall

Managing director, Residential Care Services

Toby Siddall joined Care UK in August 2011 to head up our Residential Care Service. Previously he held a number of managing director roles with Centrica PLC, leading large customer focused businesses in British Gas Services. Wherever he has gone he has achieved strong financial results, but has also managed to transform the levels of customer satisfaction and employee engagement.

Toby also brings many years' experience in mergers and acquisitions and strategy development as both an investment banker and consultant. He also holds an MBA with INSEAD.

Debi Marriott-Lavery

Managing director, Community Services

Debi joined Care UK in April 2010 as managing director of our Community Services division. Prior to joining Care UK, Debi had regional and national operation director roles, both within the independent and third sector, for four nationwide organisations and was also chief operating officer of a major UK-wide not for profit care and support provider. She is now overseeing the ongoing development of our community services division.

Jim Easton

Managing director Health Care

Jim Easton joined us in February 2013 as managing director of our Health Care Division.

Before joining Care UK, Jim was national director of improvement and efficiency at the Government’s Department of Health. He led the national Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention (QIPP) project which works across the NHS to improve both quality and efficiency.

Jim has also been chief executive of the NHS South Central Strategic Health Authority, and chief executive officer of York Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Jim has more than 30 years’ experience in the NHS and has also worked in primary care, mental health, healthcare commissioning and policy development.

Alison Rose Quirie

Managing director, Mental Health Services

Alison joined Care UK as MD of mental health in 2009 having previously been MD of Priory Secure and Complex Care services.

Alison has enjoyed a successful and varied career within the public and private criminal justice sector, as a prison governor, MD of Prisons and Immigration Services, and MD of International Service Development for GSL (now G4S) advising in Eastern Europe, the Caribbean and the UAE on prison design and operations. She has also worked with the Prisons Ombudsman to investigate suicides in prison, contributed to Lord Bradley’s review on the treatment of mentally disordered offenders and was vice chair of the independent sector procurement forum.

Alison currently chairs the Independent Sector Mental Health Alliance and is a member of the Ministerial Advisory Group on the implementation of their mental health strategy.
