Self-harm and eating disorders

Located in Stroud, Gloucestershire, Althea Park Specialist Service provides care, therapy and education to adolescents and adult women with histories of eating disorders, self-injury and other associated psychological, personal and family difficulties.

At three specialist centres, Althea Park takes a unique approach to the treatment of these disorders, based on a holistic model that ensures that each individual is valued and regarded as an essential partner in their own recovery process. We believe that successful treatment cannot be isolated from real-life experiences and that individuals need to be supported to rebuild an active and fulfilling life during, rather than after, therapy.
