When your loved one joins us at Britten Court we’ll help them to keep active by encouraging them to take part in daily tailored activities.
We take the same tailored approach to activities as we do to your loved one’s care. We find out what they like to do, then we plan socially distanced activities to suit them, ranging from baking, quizzes and games, to reminiscence sessions or even some gentle exercise. After all, if your loved one is engaged in activities they enjoy, they will be happier and more fulfilled.
We also understand that continuing to do everyday tasks, such as making the bed or watering plants can be vital for helping a person to retain a sense of independence. If your loved one enjoys the reassurance and purpose that comes from doing an everyday task, we’ll support them to do whatever they wish.

Enjoying good food and family time
Eating and enjoying good quality food is a vital ingredient to staying healthy, and our chef-led catering team produces delicious meals made from fresh ingredients. Our dining rooms are laid out bistro-style, with small tables beautifully laid up with sparkling crockery and glassware. In-room dinning is also available for those who prefer, or need, additional distancing. We cater for all tastes, diets and cultural requirements and support residents to eat independently, stepping in to provide discreet assistance wherever we need to.
Our active Facebook page is always being updated with the latest goings-on at the home. You can ‘like’ the page to stay in touch with what residents and the team are doing.
