At Davers Court we believe in keeping residents active, so we encourage them to take part in activities and continue with daily routines, such as making their bed.
Everyone is different, and our team works hard to ensure residents get the most out of every day, whatever their needs and abilities. Our ‘outstanding’ CQC report highlights “the strong emphasis on the provision of activities that were meaningful to the people living in the service.”
Residents are encouraged to mix within small and socially distanced groups within the home and garden, where they are free to simply relax, or take part in the varied lifestyle programme. To ensure we organise activities everyone enjoys, we ask residents what their likes and interests are when they come to live at the home. Activities range from games, cooking and quizzes, to enjoying gentle exercise classes and sing-alongs.
Health and wellbeing
The care home team at Davers Court strive to keep residents not only happy, but healthy too. That’s why we develop strong links with local doctors and other healthcare providers so our residents can access the very best care. We are finding new ways of working with them too such as offering Virtual GP visits to all residents.
Enjoying good food
Eating and enjoying good quality food is a vital ingredient to staying healthy. As mentioned in our ‘outstanding’ CQC report, our onsite Chef and catering team go to great lengths to cater for all tastes, diets and cultural requirements. Your loved ones nutritional requirements are discussed pre-admission so we can develop personalised nutritional care plans including likes, dislikes and portion sizes, to ensure they have an enjoyable dining experience.
As well as our bistro-style dining rooms, we also offer in-room dinning for resident who may prefer to or need additional distancing.
