Part of the Care UK family |Trusted to care in Church Crookham, Hampshire
It is the people who make our home a truly happy and caring one, and at Gracewell of Church Crookham our experienced team of dedicated professionals all undergo our own in-depth training programme. The whole team works to make sure that residents' needs are at the heart of everything they do and that personalised care is provided.
I firmly believed that resident's satisfaction and nutrition is the most important aspect of running a successful kitchen. I like to ensure that food that comes out of my kitchen is prepared and presented to the highest standard. I have plenty of extensive experience in fine dining, working for six years as a Sous Chef at teh famous Dorchester Hotel in Park Lane which gave me opportunity to cater to the Queen and Nelson Mandela, amongst other famous faces. I have also gained many years' experience working in five star hotels abroad and achieved numerous awards both here and in other countries. I also have experience in dealing with special diets as I have also worked as Head Chef for nine years at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. Now, I am glad that I am part of the team here and I simply love looking after the residents. I always feel self-contentment whenever I do something for them because I do believe that food is one very important aspect of their well-being.
I have been working at the home since a few months after opening. I have worked in most areas of the home, I started in housekeeping then I become a Hostessbefore joining the reception team. I love working here as we are such a close family, not only colleagues but the residents are part of that family. I am originally from Liverpool but moved to Germany as my husband was in the armed forces, we then were transferred to Church Crookham. When I started here I couldn’t have been made to feel any more welcome, and I am hoping to spend many more years here as it has become my second home.
