It is the people who make our home a truly happy and caring one. At Gracewell of Horley Park, our experienced team of dedicated professionals all undergo our own in-depth training programme. The whole team works to make sure that residents' needs are at the heart of everything they do and that personalised care is provided.

Alina-Simona Varga Pali

I am a Registered General Nurse having qualified in 2007

I have worked clinically in acute cardiac care, community healthcare and residential care. I joined the home in May 2015 and I am committed to ensuring high standards are achieved and maintained throughout the home, from housekeeping to resident care. I value involvement from everyone and enjoy talking with residents and their families at every opportunity. I gained a Champion of Quality Care award 2018.

Deputy Manager
I am a registered general nurse with experience in acute cardiac care and learning disabilities.

I am a registered general nurse with experience in acute cardiac care and learning disabilities. I joinedthe home October 2016 and I am a diabetes and falls prevention champion. I have proven clinical skills and an advanced knowledge which led to me being promoted into the role of Deputy Manager here. I pride myself on being resident focused and ensuring that all individuals we support are empowered to make choices and participate fully in the running of their home. I enjoy spending time bonding with residents and their families, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and happiness are met. I was very proud to be awarded the Champion of Quality Care award in 2019.

I joined in 2019, having had five years' experience in care and as a team leader.

I joined in 2019, having had five years' experience in care and as a team leader. I am a dedicated memory care pathway trainer, along with an Ergo coach for Manual Moving and Handling, as well as being an experienced Dignity Champion. I am extremely creative and enjoy introducing new activities to help engage with residents. I have been awarded the Heart and Soul 2018 and Activity Champion 2019 awards.

Robert Atitiene
Clinical Nurse Manager
I am a registered general nurse since January 2015 and have previous experience working with young adults with epilepsy and learning disabilities.

I am a registered general nurse since January 2015 and have previous experience working with young adults with epilepsy and learning disabilities. I joined the home in February 2017 and I am the nutrition and hydration champion and one of the first aiders here. I was promoted to Clinical Nurse Manager and I am dedicated to ensuring all of the residents receive the highest quality of nursing care.

I started working here in February 2014 when the home opened, making me the longest standing team member here.

I started working here in February 2014 when the home opened, making me the longest standing team member here. Previous to working at the home, I have over twenty years’ experience in accounts and payroll.

I joined the home in May 2014 as Head Housekeeper.

I joined the home in May 2014 as Head Housekeeper. I lead a dedicated housekeeping team who make sure that the highest standards of cleanliness are met at all times. I have vast experience in a similar position from the hotel industry. I was very happy to be awarded Housekeeper of the Year 2017.

I joined the home in 2021 after working in similar positions for the last four years.

I joined the home in 2021 after working in similar positions for the last four years. It has proved to be a great experience. I enjoy helping the residents to ensure they are comfortable and making sure that the care home runs smoothly. My main aim is to make sure that the care home complies with safety regulations. As a part qualified electrician I have a good understanding of how things work and I am able to identify potential hazards or faults. I am proud to be part of the team and I am looking forward to new challenges.

Our dedicated lifestyle teams work hard to organise a range of activities and events at our home. From gardening and baking to quizzes, music sessions and even live entertainment. Above all, we get to know your loved one to make sure our activities are tailored to suit their interests and hobbies.

Home support roles

From catering to maintenance, housekeeping to administration, our home support teams play a crucial part in ensuring individuals enjoy an exceptional and safe service every day.

All our teams get to know each person they care for to ensure they provide a service that’s designed around their unique needs and tastes. 

Infection control

Each of our homes have a trained Infection Control and Prevention Champion – they are responsible for carrying out daily infection control audit and ensuring cleaning protocols are meticulously applied.
