At our Islington Day Centre, members can enjoy a range of activities, tailored to their interests and hobbies.
The team at Highbury New Park Day Centre is passionate about supporting members to enjoy meaningful activities and maintain their independence.
There’s a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere here, which gives members the confidence to try something new. There’s always plenty going on, from quizzes and reminiscence to arts and crafts. Our open plan environment makes it easy for people to move from one activity to another as the mood takes them. And if your loved one has an idea for an activity, we work hard to make it happen.
Part of the community
While there’s plenty to keep members interested in the centre, we often enjoy trips out – to the cinema in Dalston or for a trip into Central London. We also work closely with Highbury New Park care home, so we might pop into the main home to enjoy entertainment from a visiting musician or singer.
Day club members and their families can take advantage of a range of different services provided by the day centre. We have a monthly 'memory surgery', when a psychiatrist offers assessments and advice. We also meet with carers to see how we can support them and help them to access more services in the community.
