Residents at Ambleside were joined by students from Dunnington C of E Primary School for a Christmas party to help spread festive cheer at the care home.
The children visited the home to perform a selection of traditional carols and with lyrics on hand, residents joined in with their favourite songs.
Clare Mudge, home manager at Ambleside, said: “We’re all looking forward to celebrating Christmas here at Ambleside, and were delighted to be joined by children from Dunnington C of E Primary School for a special performance of some of the residents’ best-loved carols.
“Here at Ambleside we strive to build relationships across the generations. Not only does it allow older people to impart wisdom and share experiences with the younger generation, but it also helps to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of the residents".
