Appleby House is inviting the local community to experience a winter wonderland at its Christmas lights switch-on.
On Wednesday 6th December, from 6pm-8pm, the Appleby House team will open the doors to the home to bring festive cheer to the town – with the help of a special guest.
The Mayor of Epsom and Ewell, Councillor Liz Frost will be joining in the festivities. There will be a selection of seasonal treats on offer, including mince pies and mulled wine. For younger guests, there will be plenty of games and activities in Santa’s Grotto, with a possible sighting of Father Christmas himself.
The Appleby Choir will also be on hand to get everyone in the Christmas spirit, and guests will be invited to join them in singing some of the best loved carols.
Shona Bradbury, home manager at Appleby House, said: “We’re all looking forward to celebrating Christmas here at Appleby House. It is important to us to forge relationships with the local community, and inviting them to our Christmas lights switch-on is a great way to spread the festive feeling.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming Mayor Liz Frost for what promises to be an exciting afternoon. With so much planned, we hope the local community will join us to celebrate the festive period.”
