Kenilworth Grange care home on Spring Lane welcomed the people of Kenilworth through its doors for an event to celebrate Care Home Open Day.
Kenilworth Grange was one of thousands of care homes across the UK which took part in the annual initiative aimed at challenging perceptions of care homes, connecting residents with even more people in their community, and developing relationships across the generations.
It was party time at Kenilworth Grange with an event held in honour of the Queen’s 90th birthday. Residents and visitors were joined by the Kenilworth Carnival Queen, and everyone enjoyed afternoon tea at the home.
Sheridan Farish, home manager at Kenilworth Grange, said: “Our doors are always open, but Care Home Open Day was a brilliant opportunity to celebrate with visitors, residents and colleagues alike. We all are proud of the warm and welcoming quality care environment we have created here at Kenilworth Grange, and we took great delight in showcasing our home and all the good work we do here.
“The day was a real success, and everyone enjoyed getting involved in the activities and building on our links with the local community.”
