Brook Court on Oldnall Road welcomed the people of Kidderminster through its doors for an event to celebrate Care Home Open Day.
Brook Court was one of thousands of care homes across the UK which took part in the annual initiative aimed at challenging perceptions of care homes, connecting residents with even more people in their community, and developing relationships across the generations.
In honour of The Queen’s 90th birthday, there was a right royal celebration at Brook Court. Residents and visitors enjoyed a high tea, and there was live entertainment from Debbie Miles who sang a host of old-time favourites to help everyone get into the party spirit.
Joanne Gill, home manager at Brook Court said: “Our doors are always open, but Care Home Open Day was a brilliant opportunity to celebrate with visitors, residents and colleagues alike. We all are proud of the warm and welcoming quality care environment we have created here at Brook Court, and we took great delight in showcasing our home and all the good work we do here.
“The day was a real success, and everyone enjoyed getting involved in the activities and building on our links with the local community.”
