The team at Will Adams took part in a recent fundraiser for Children in Need - raising £277.28 for the charity!
Facilities Manager, Stuart Van Cliff bravely set up his stall in the centre's car park and at lunchtime staff were invited to throw sponges at him for £1 a throw. Fortunately the sun was shining and the weather quite mild! Stuart endured sponges and several buckets of water chucked at him, a stunning over arm throw from one of our General Surgeons, Mohamed Mohamed demonstrating his cricketing prowess. Pat Baker, Clinical Services Manager then volunteered and was promptly soaked.
Other activities on the day included a Tombola and cake sale, a guess the number of sweets in the jar competition and staff wearing pyjamas to work for the day. There is also a quiz night planned for 9th December to raise additional funds and the centre are hoping to double their money for the charity through the Care UK Match funding scheme.
