Church View residents celebrate their 60 year anniversary

December 8th 2011

On the 6th December, Church View residents Robert and Peggy Bleasdale celebrated 60 years of marriage. Staff created a restaurant and presented the couple with a candle lit meal for two. The couple were served their special meal by the home manager Samantha Rogan.

When the couple were asked what makes a happy marriage, Peggy stated it’s “love” and Robert added “a good family”.

Robert and Peggy had their first date at the Rex cinema and were married on the 1st December 1951.
