Clara Court residents have enjoyed the Jubilee celebrations by having a day trip to Brighton Pier. Residents were accompanied by the activities team and care staff to visit some of Brighton’s best sights including the Sea Life Centre, the Marina and of course the Pier itself.
Many residents have visited over the years before coming to Clara Court and were delighted to have the opportunity to go again. Spending the whole day on the seafront residents tucked into the famous fish and chips.
Lisa Reid Support Services Manager said “it was great to see residents relaxing and taking in the many new sights. There were lots of discussions about previous visits and for one this brought back war time memories. It is outings and visits like this that help our residents reminisce about days gone by and what makes Great Britain Great.”
Daughter of resident Maria Johnson said “ When mum came to Clara Court I did not realise that there would be so many lovely days out for mum to enjoy. Mum is like a new woman with a new lease of life.”
