Jubilee House is inviting the people of Godalming to come along to a community bake sale to raise funds for Dementia UK.
On Wednesday 6th March, from 11am-12.30pm, Jubilee House will open its doors for coffee, cake and a chat for ‘Time for a Cuppa’.
A selection of hot drinks and indulgent treats will be specially prepared by Jubilee House’s chefs for people to enjoy, all of which will be available in exchange for a small donation to Dementia UK.
2019 marks the 10th anniversary of ‘Time for a Cuppa’, previously known as ‘A Tea Party to Remember’, an initiative launched by Dementia UK which encourages individuals and organisations across the country to host tea parties in order to raise funds. The initiative has helped to fund 30 Admiral Nurses, who provide specialist dementia care and support for 6,000 people living with dementia and their families.
Home manager at Jubilee House, Totka Zhelyazkova, said: “Time for a Cuppa is a great opportunity to show our support to the fantastic Admiral Nurses and give thanks for all of the incredible work they do. Dementia can have a huge impact on the lives of not only those living with it, but also the lives of all those around them – we believe that everyone deserves to have access to all the help and support they need.
“The event not only gives us the chance to support a great cause, but also gives the team and residents time to put their feet up for a cuppa and a catch up with the local community.”
