Residents, relatives, staff and people from the local Highlands Village community braved the rain on Saturday for the annual Elizabeth Lodge Fete.
The home has 79 residents aged between 62 and 97, and the fete is held every year as a social event that everyone can help prepare for and enjoy on the day, and which helps to raise money for ‘extras’ such as parties and visiting entertainers for residents through the year.
On Saturday the heavens opened just before the 2pm start, and there was a frantic rush to bring all of the stalls and attractions indoors. However, spirits remained high and over a thousand pounds was raised. When the sun came out at 4 everyone hurried outside for this communal photo.
Fun had by all at the Elizabeth Lodge summer fete
