Care UK’s Elwick Grange care home in Hartlepool, is inviting local people to visit the home on Elwick Road on Friday 17th June to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
From 10.30am until 4pm, the team at Elwick Grange will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Visitors are invited to a coffee morning at Elwick Grange, complete with tempting treats and homemade cakes. There will also be live entertainment in the afternoon and a sing-a-long to help everyone get in the party spirit. All those who drop-by on the day can take a tour of the care home and meet the residents and Care UK team.
Shamaila Seabrook, home manager at Elwick Grange, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through building lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
“Opening our doors is also a great opportunity to show what life is really like in a modern care home; and we hope to change any preconceptions people might have while also showing everything Elwick Grange has to offer.
“We have got a fun day of activities planned and are really looking forward to getting behind Care Home Open Day on Friday 17th June and welcoming the people of Hartlepool to be a part of it.”
Visitors to the Care Home Open Day event at Elwick Grange will also be able to pick up their copy of Care UK’s Eating as we Age.
