Foxbridge House showed off its baking skills in celebration of Culinarians Day.
As a token of thanks to the home’s chef, Trudie Waite, residents at Foxbridge House baked a batch of her favourite cherry bun cookies.
The team at Foxbridge House felt that the unofficial holiday, that honors all cooks and chefs who bring good taste and great food into people's lives, was the perfect chance to treat Trudie and say thanks you for all of her hard work and creativity.
Home manager at Foxbridge House, Carol McCormack, said “At Foxbridge house we’re always looking for special ways to say thank you to our dedicated team. The residents enjoy the tasty and nutritious meals that Trudie prepares every day so we wanted to do something special. We had great fun baking with Trudie and the cherry bun cookies went down a treat!
“Everyone really enjoyed getting involved and for many residents it was a lovely opportunity to reminisce about younger years of baking for friends and family.”
