Francis Court is opening its doors to the local community for a special celebration to mark the upcoming royal wedding.
On Saturday 19th May, from 11am, Francis Court is inviting local people for a ‘right royal knees up’ and to raise a glass to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The home will be adorned with union jack bunting and residents will have their British flags at the ready for a live screening of the wedding. The care team has also organised a morning of arts and crafts, when residents will be able to design their dream wedding dress.
Mary Ann Ballesteros, home manager at Francis Court, said: “We were all so excited when we heard there was to be another royal wedding, and knew we had to do something to celebrate!
“Here at Francis Court, many of the residents have fond memories of the royal family and the many weddings and celebrations over the years, so this is a brilliant opportunity to reminisce and share stories from the past.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the people of Copthorne to the home to toast the happy couple on what promises to be a wonderful day of celebrations.”
