The care team at Elizabeth Lodge care home in Enfield is opening its doors on Saturday 16th July for a garden party to celebrate the launch of its new pub, The Pennington.
From 2pm until 4pm, local people are invited to drop in to the care home on Pennington Drive to enjoy the summer celebrations and everyone is encouraged to dress to impress – complete with hat or fascinator.
Visitors are invited to relax and enjoy the care home’s gardens, where they have the opportunity to listen to live music from Chiraq Sings who will be performing favourites from The Great American Songbook. Pimms and tea will be served in the garden along with sandwiches and cake.
The Pennington will be officially opened by resident Florence Day and her daughter Jackie Day, who will be performing the ribbon cutting, having chosen the name for the new pub.
Donna Cousins, home manager at Elizabeth Lodge, said: “We are excited to be opening the doors to The Pennington. I am sure it will be a great social space to be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.
“At Elizabeth Lodge it is important for us to build strong relationships with the local community and we hope members of the public will join us for what promises to be a fantastic day of fun and celebrations.”
Situated on Pennington Drive, Winchmore Hill, in Enfield, Elizabeth Lodge provides a range of care services for older people including residential, nursing and respite care, as well as specialist dementia and sensitive end of life care.
